I have been dabbling in smoking for a few years. I have mainly used a cheap char broil vertical that I picked up at wal mart for 49.99 on clearance. Honestly, as a cheap, no frills smoker, it got me started, but being a cheap one, I had to learn, the hard way, about managing the fire/heat/smoke, but it got me started and has held up for a couple of years.

I have decided it is time to move into a better and easier controlled set up. I won a pit boss 2.5c ft electric smoker at my church during a silent auction. I paid 100.00 for it. It seems to go for 130-150.00. So not horrible, but I can’t find much about it.

If y’all have any thoughts on it feel free to let me know.

Welcome aboard and congrats on moving up to the pit boss. I’m sure there are plenty of people here that can get you pointed in the right direction with that smoker. I run on offset so I wouldn’t be much help with that.

Welcome to the site, I'm not a pit boss user either. Have you tried the search function?
