Come on folks, it may not mean anything to allot of people people outside of the UK, but we do have a pretty sizable contingent of folks from England here - that are very friendly. Let's be a little respectful of their history and culture.

Have them file a "Hurt Feelings Report" if some comments traumatized them.

I'm not slamming anyone, their history or culture, just saying I wouldn't waste my time caring about/paying attention to it a ceremony given to a group solely because of their ancestry.

Figureheads only.

Just like I wouldn't care about any U.S. President's family members marriage, or a Canadian, German, French, Polish, Argentinian........................

By the way, my wife is British.

She has more important things on her mind than watching a wedding too.

Dang it, I've spent all morning trying to dodge it. With a great deal of success, I might add. Then the wife comes home and has it recorded and commences to watch it. Oh well, Happy Wife, Happy Life.
We have an adoption party/bbq later today, I'm sure I will consume enough beverages to at least blur the memory.

But I'm merely ignoring it. I'm a big boy and can do that.
What I fully object to is how the American media goes fawning over such affairs. They've hyped this to death in order to get, well, folks like our wives, to watch it.
It another wedding. Hoop-de-doo.

Yeah after 36 yrs of marriage I've gotten pretty good at tuning out LOL. Of getting older and the subsequint hearing loss sometimes works to my advantage ;)

I'm wanting a nice 1/4 pounder with cheese, salad, and a ice cold PBR with a shake of Tabasco in it.
I got sent to the store for a few things yesterday, danged if a 12 pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon didn't just jump in my basket!
But it might have been that sexy senior citizen gal that was flirtin with me that done it.
No matter, the 12 pack followed me home.
