How much is Brisket in your area

Today my local GFS had real nice Excel choice briskets for $1.79/lb.  I picked up two more 12 lb'ers for the freezer.  Two/ three weeks ago they were $2.69/lb. Prices on meat has been  really coming down lately.

I was at GFS yesterday and their Briskets were $2.35, butts $1.09, eye of round $2.49.

Here in Baton Rouge Packer prices for select / choice  is $2.69 lb - $2.89 lb

Here in eastern MD at Wal-Mart's choice packers $2.49. yesterday Sam's Club prime rib $8.99. Last week Giant Foods eye round $299
