How long does ham last?

so I did it again and left something in the fridge without cooking it. The sell by date is dec 4th. I’m not sure how long this can last in the fridge. It’s precooked and shrink wrapped still. Anyone have an idea?

A couple of weeks I believe. One way to find out is to open it up and give it the old sniff test and feel test.

My wife calls that a "mansearch," a noun, one word. It happens when I don't see what I want or expect. It can be right in front of me. I usually say "where the heck's the..." I'm looking for a different container, or it has been moved from where I put it. She points out the obvious and says "Mansearch!"

She's as guilty though. We have 4 bricks of mozzarella cheese because she failed to see the two unopened ones right in the fridge where they were moved from one side of the drawer to the other.
