Hot Roast Beef & Gravy Sammy (Chucky)

So Mrs Bear won this round, and this Chucky Meal got made in the Crock Pot (No Smoke).

I’ve loved these Sammies all of my life, and up until Bear Jr was 16 years old, it was the only thing he ever ordered at Restaurants.

Mrs Bear picked up 5 Chuckies at the store last Friday on sale @ $2.99.

4 of the Chuckies are for Diesel (Bear Jr’s Chocolate Lab), and I got to take my pick which one I wanted for us.
Bear Jr makes Diesel’s Chuckies in his Crock Pot too, and always gives him some heated up with his Dog Food. (Yes—He’s Spoiled)

So into the Pot goes our Chuck Roast, some Taters & Carrots, along with a can of Gravy, some CBP, and some Parsley Flakes.

Ran Crock Pot on High for 4 hours, then Low for 2 hours.

Once everything was done, I checked the temp of the Chucky, and I got 209°. It wasn’t mushy, but it pulled very nice.

Everything I did after that is below, in the Pictures & the Captions above each Picture.

Thanks For Stopping By,

Bear

All 5 Chuckies—Had to pick the one I want & leave the other 4 for Diesel:

Looks great bear! I like mine open face with smashed taters.

$2.99 a pound, can't even get hamburger here on sale for that! Chuckies right now are $8.99 a pound. Sometimes we get them on sale for $6.99.

Looks great bear, I'll take one open-faced...pleaaaase

I like them open faced with a lot more gravy!

Sometimes I just forget the bread & have meat, potato's & lots of gravy!

Thanks Case!!

I always start off the first Meal exactly like I did above (Both of us actually).

Then the next night's Supper is the same Sammy, but with Fries with Gravy on the Fries.

Then a couple Sammies with Horseradish Sauce & Cheese.

By that time, the meat is gone!!!

BTW: After that first night's meal, it's all mine. Mrs Bear eats Chicken & Salads until I kill all the leftover meat.

Bear I'm with Case open face I do like the taters pealed like that.If I had room in the freezer I could save money driving out there, for the meat.Points

Looks great Bear! Ironically, the wife just picked up a chuck roast for the slow cooker for some easy meals during deer hunting this weekend. I'm pretty sure at least one of the meals will end up this way!

Nice post and love the Qview!

Thank You Al !!

I do all kinds of things like that with this meat, but the first meal is always similar to what I did above, and I eat it at the table with Mrs Bear.

I'm a little late to the party, but man, that looks good Bear!  Mrs. Red makes a pot roast in her crock pot exactly like this except she'll add a large white or yellow quartered onion to the pot.  This meal is a regular staple around here.  I could make a meal out of just the taters and carrots, but that hot sammie looks terrific too!  Point!
