One of my all time favorite soups! Looks great Steve! Believe it or not it popped up on my Facebook yesterday and had me craving it.

You made a great soup. Love the mushroom selection.
Local Chinese buffet (back in MN) adds matchsticks of bamboo shoots and uses tofu instead of pork or chicken. Love the bamboo. I'll take your version with pork over the tofu.

Shoot! I forgot to list that. You can just see the can of bamboo shoots and water chestnuts in the picture.

Kind of went a little different direction but you inspired me to make. I made the base beef and used a bunch of shiitake and some other mushrooms I got at 99 Ranch. Man I still have a bunch of mushrooms to use up. Used Tofu for the first time. Man did this taste good! I think I going to do your crab deviled eggs with some left over crab.
