Morning folks!
So, yesterday Ryan
Brokenhandle
and I had a strange vulcan mind meld thing going on. We were both thinking about hot and sour soup! This is a perfect soup for a stormy Saturday.
Some of the ingredients.
Got the pork loin cut and spiced with salt and pepper.
Cooked and set aside.
Start by cooking the canned straw mushrooms, portabellos, and shitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and diced water chestnuts.
Let them sweat for about 10 minutes.
Add chicken broth, meat, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, chili oil, toasted sesame oil, pepper, and green onions.
Bring to boil. Then simmer for 15 minutes.
Bring back to low boil.
Swirl in 4 beaten eggs. Then thicken with a corn starch surry if you wish.
Add some pork egg rolls. Dinner is served!
