Any body use all hickory I guess there is a learning curve with it compared to other wood. I may just have to split it smaller.
 
Hickory is a strong smoking wood

Are you using it for smoking or fuel to burn for heat?
 
Both right now seeing how it works out. Having a hard time keeping temps below 250 with the hickory. Really don't want to have to burn for two or three hours befor I cook to get coals. And I basicaly end up with just ash in bottom of fire box not much coals.
