I've been occasionally reading this site for over a year. I have been smoking for 3 years.
I started on an 18" WSM for 2 yrs. Got the hang of it and then decided I would probably smoke more often if I didn't have to play around with the charcoal and the vent temp adjustments.
So I read this site and made the decision to get a Masterbuilt XL 40" propane smoker.
When I do smoke, I smoke extra, so I wanted a larger unit. Have had it for over a year and like it a lot.
Saving my money for a Yoder pellet smoker!

I too have been using a WSM.  It's not that old and I have not been able to figure how to tell the wife I would like to get a propane powered unit...lol.
