  1. OK I'm new to smoke'n hope to learn a few things, my wife and kids bought me a MES 30 for Christmas (think they're trying to tell me something) .Any how I'm from northern Oh and I will be retiring next year , figured this would be a good  hobby to keep me out of trouble. I collect old Winchester rifles, ride a Harley and drink beer guess that 'bout covers it. [IMG]

    You're gonna love that MES!

Would my Model "88" be classified as an "old" Winchester?

  3. Hi Bear why yes it would, I have one made in 1957 in .308  killed a couple of deer in Pa. with it [IMG], and thanks for the welcome.

My "88" is also in .308.

Took a lot of deer with it (all PA).

Bought it at an Army/Navy in 1971 for $137.

    It's worth a bit more now--LOL.

Don't know how to tell what year it was made. Serial # H274208.

How about one of the more powerful pellet guns on the market?

Wait a minute--Being from CA, it shouldn't be hard to get a bigger weapon with a silencer in L.A. [IMG]
