I am new to smoking and I am researching what I want to get for my first smoker before jumping into the deep end of the smoking pool. I work long hours and I love to put a meal into my crockpot and let it cook while I go to bed, so I will be looking at electric smokers closely for convenience.
While I am new to smoking I have been with the FSIS (USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service) for almost 10 years. So I may jump into conversations about things like sanitary practices and foodborne illnesses when I see them pop up.
