Hi there! My name is David and I live in Minneapolis, MN.  I just got a 30" MES although I have been smoking in a flower pot for a couple years.  It was time to take a step up.  Since I was upgrading, I drove over to Todd's and picked up an A-MAZE-N-SMOKER. Planning on cold smoking some bacon and making some jerky to start. 

In the meantime, I have a little butchering to do of a couple of Does I stumbled across this year.

Love this forum and looking forward to learning from everyone here.

Greetings from Moorhead. Welcome to the SMF boards David. Lots of good info on here. We just tried our fresh batch of deer sausage last night. Very good, but it usually is when its that fresh.

First off Welcome David to SMF. You'll like it here for there are alot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.
