So I got started on this smoking when I bought my townhouse about 2 years ago.  I went to find a bbq since after living in Toronto apartments I could finally do that.  I was looking for one of the fancy stainless steel jobbies with infrared and all the bells and whistles.  My mom happened to notice a Chargriller Duo on sale for $200.  I know, it's not supposed to be that great but I couldn't resist the drum and the fact that it does gas and charcoal.  So it took me about 2 weeks and I just had to order the sfb and I've been hooked on smoking ever since.  I have actually found that the duo does work just fine for smoking.  I've learned to control the temp just fine and it works ok.  My family and neighbours love my ribs and pork.  I've got my own rub but of course still perfecting it.  That never quite seems to stop.

I found this site when I was looking up custom building a bbq.  The first on the list was from ChinaSmoke and listed almost exactly what I was thinking except I'll skip the trailer mount.  And all the comments and advice I saw just sold me on this place.

So here I am and looking forward to learning from all of you.  And maybe teaching you a thing or two as well.  We can bbq in Canada after all and anyone that complains about wind and rain should just remember that we can do it at -20C and with snow.  lol
