Brand new to this "forum" thing so bear with me.  I live in a suburb of Iowa City, IA.  I have recently purchased a 30" Masterbuilt electric digital with remote.  Smoking 8 eight pound Butts this weekend for my daughters grad party, can't wait!

Welcome aboard!

You may have to do two shifts in that smoker.

I don't have a MES 30, but I don't think 8 butts will fit in there all at one time.

Morning Jeff. I have A MES 30. I just checked out the size of a 10 pound butt i have in the freezer. Afraid there's no way to get that many butts in at once. I would be giving it a trial run, just to see, right away. I would suggest after you know how many butts you can fit comfortably, you'll know just how many smokes you'll have to do. Then I'd be starting right away. You can vac seal the pulled pork as its done and easily reheat it the day of the celebration.

Pulled pork is ALWAYS better the next day so this will actually work out good for you.

Welcome to the forum!! Wow, starting off with 8 butts! Best bet might be to cook them ahead of time as I don't know if all 8 will fit.
