Tried out the wok last night on a beef & broccoli stir fry. This is something that has stuck to my current (former) non-stick pan. Wow, worked really slick. Clean up was a breeze.

That was exactly my experience. Fried up some floured pork that used to line the pan, I coulda wiped the grease off the Hexclad with a paper towel. nothing suck.

Very nice as well, I think searing is where they really shine as well, and all the other benefits are just an added bonus!

I do have a second 12" fry pan in the budget to add to our collection as well. The wife also wants to add a 3rd 10" fry to our set....we often have 5 of our 6 burners all with Hexclads on them.....I should take a pic one of these days just for the free marketing for them....LOL

I think I should stop watching this thread... before I get to thinking!

I've got the hybrid wok as well, like it quite a bit. By God that rim conducts heat like crazy, a nice welt on my arm will attest to that! I love the size of the wok, a great complement to my smaller, carbon steel woks.

Looking to get my Son a 12" skillet for his Birthday in June . What's the difference between Hexclad , and the Hell's kitchen stuff ? I thought hexclad was Ramsey ?
Chop, Ramsey uses Hexclad in Hells Kitchen and all his resultants now. I believe he is also a board member now of the company. He dropped his own line of non-stick to partner/join Hexclad.

They 12 inch is a nice fry pan! They also have a fry pan set with a 8, 10, and 12 with lids. The set is about twice the price of the one pan but you get two other pans and lids. Just a thought

The are doing Costco events at the moment so you might want to check the Costco Hexclad event page to see if one is close to you

I believe they are one in the same.

Just made me wonder , because I found the Hexclad pans , but also a Ramsey HK branded pan that was cheaper . I figured they were the same . Amazon pricing is 20 to 30 bucks higher on what looks like the same thing .
I have a Costco close by , but no membership .

When I snagged our set, Hexclad direct was a better deal than Costco. but it likely depends on the sales/specials at the time. HC sales seem to run with holidays, as many do.

I just looked on Amazon and see the HK branded hybrid pan (this one is different than GR's earlier HK pans he was pushing), I don't know anything about them specifically but did notice GR's name isn't on the ads. However, he has gone all in Hexclad. If you keep an eye on the Hex web page, they often run starter kit sets that have a pan and a pot, or a pan pot and then a chef knife. They have free shipping as well.

Well I broke down and bought a set of pans at Costco yesterday.
The set of 3 frying pans and lids was $399 on the website. Costco was $379, and included a wok as well. I had a Costco $140 rebate slip, so that pushed me over the edge. The showman doing the demonstration swirled a scrambled egg in the small pan, let it cook for about a minute, then blew it out of the pan with a puff of air. Pretty impressive.
I'll season and start playing around with them this week. My son is coming over this weekend, so I will try out a couple of dry-aged steaks from the freezer.
I looked on costco as well and realized that the costco ones are the older version. Notice the temp ratings. 500f vs 900f

I chose not to buy those ones and am holding out for the new version.

Yea and I would bet money there will be an Easter sale on the direct web page.

Yeah , the tri clad is different construction .

I've been waiting and watching . His birthday isn't until June , but with the way things are going I figured I'd better buy now . $192 for a 12" skillet . Cheap when you divide that by a lifetime .
Was 13 bucks cheaper on the direct site , but easier for me just to do Amazon .
