help what size pit

I'm interested in a offset smoker 24" diameter but don't no how long to get. 40 are 48 cooking length.  I would like to be able to cook one  brisket 4 are 5 ribs some sausage. and wrapped corn

sounds like a 40 would do the job and have leftover room. If their isn't much differance in price. Go big.
