Sorry, this isn't smoke related. Moderators, please delete if needed.
I wondered if anyone could tell me what kind of spiders these are. They were attached to the inside of the door on the gas tank of my pickup.

They were in a kind of mud capsule, I thought it was a mud dauber's nest, but these spiders were in it. They were not alive...just enclosed in the mud capsule.

Any help would be appreciated....

Flash, I didn't find an egg. When I knocked it off of the door, one chamber shattered and there were a bunch of these spiders inside....

There was a second chamber, so I broke it open and it was full too.

Jeanie I have seen too many of your Q-VIEWS if it can be done and made to taste good you are the lady that can do it. So go ahead an try em and let me know how they turn out, then maybe I will try em. chuckle chuckle.

I am sure the egg is not very big, although it is possible it was not laid yet. I wouldn't try them in the smoker, maybe some mojo, breaded, then fried.

Man those are nasty. I think they're eradiated spiders that might give you spiderman-like powers if they bite you or it might lead to a horrible and agonizing death. You just never know.

LOL Flash...

When the first one shattered, there could have been an egg in it and I missed it. Also when I cracked open the second one, I didn't dig around.

Could have been one in there somewhere..

Thank you all for your help, I feel a lot better about it. Not that I'm a chicken or anything, but new spiders give me the creeps. lol

Thanks Scott, I have several black widows here on the farm, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have something else to contend with.
As long as the mud daubers don't plaster me in mud I should be ok.

I like how they are a glow in the dark color. Do you have a nuclear waste dump nearby? Or have there been ET visitors?
