Ribeye roast with new rub

We got done with church this morning and had the desire to throw something on the smoker.
Decided on a little Pork ribeye roast.
Hit it with one of my new rubs I got for Christmas... from @Quiganomics

Threw it on @ 225 and let it ride. We killed time watching football & throwing the football with the boys.

The Mrs. Whipped up some twice baked potatoes and roasted veggies.

Was mighty good.

Looks amazing John… nice cook my friend! Really like the color and the sliced shot has me
envious! And the plated shot with all the other fixings… just top notch bud! Yum!!

Edit to add, really like the hint of smoke ring on the sliced shot!

Awesomeness! At first when I read the thread title and saw ribeye, then that rub, my heart sank as its not really made for beef and was afraid I ruined a prime rib on ya, then saw pork.

Glad you liked it though, that one is my go-to for pork loin.

Awesomeness! At first when I read the thread title and saw ribeye, then that rub, my heart sank as its not really made for beef and was afraid I ruined a prime rib on ya, then saw pork.

Glad you liked it though, that one is my go-to for pork loin.

It was very good on the pork. The wife and kids also gave it a very good review.

I've cooked a lot with the Honey Badger. Quigz nailed it by reworking his Show Me the Honey recipe.
It's much more versatile now.
