Hello

I live outside of Toledo Ohio

New to smoking and have (2) Master built electric smokers.

Have had great success making great tasting foods

Ribs

Butts

Wings

Chicken

Meat Loaf

Brats

and look forward to making even more.

I've used Jeff Rub and Sauce when I have time to mix them up.

Use separate aftermarket probes and ambient temp gages. (think its a Weber brand not sure but its Bluetooth)

I wanted to post a question once joined the forum but could not figure it out so I will post it hear now.

Making 18 slabs of ribs and would like to apply the rub today for the cook tomorrow. Would it be okay (better) to get the rub apply and allow to sit overnight in frig with the rub on the ribs?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting learning more about smoking getting some ideas of receipes.

Welcome to SMF!

Glad to have you with us!

Yes, apply the rub today & let it sit overnight.

It will give the meat more flavor from the rub.

Welcome.

I am doing some ribs tomorrow myself. I am off to the store shortly to pick them up. I will be putting on the rub tonight and letting sit overnight in fridge.

Although I will be testing this time frame as I do future smokes to see if I prefer more "rub" taste on the ribs or less. This will help me decide on leaving the rub on overnight verses just several hours.
