I'm living in Coweta, OK and fairly new to smoking.  I've smoked some apple pork chops, brats, sausage.  I have a charcoal smoker. I'm looking at trying maybe doing bbq chicken, ribs, or something else.

Welcome from Maryland. This site will help you to achieve the level of bbq you are working towards. Read as much of the posts that you can get to. Try some chicken thighs, they are a nice start.
