Hi Everyone,

I am new to smoking.

I just bought a Smokin-It #3 and it will be delivered tomorrow.  My wife was born and raised in San Antonio, TX., and she loves good barbeque - especially Texas style brisket.  I am hoping to trigger some of her BBQ memories with this thing.

I live at about 5500 feet in Western Colorado.

I read in the forums there is a place nearby (in Fruita, Colorado) that sells wood chunks for smoking, so I will check them out.

Other than that, I will be trolling these boards!

Welcome aboard David!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
