I am looking for some input on this. Please take a look at the image and let me know what you think. I am also considering a pellet smoker, but wanted to at least explore this option a little bit.

SMOKE-N-STEIN BUILD CONCEPT
As my original Bradley is finally about to bite the dust and, having all the parts for a double barrel smoker build, I plan on using the corpse of the Bradley to make the best of both worlds.
I am hoping to use some sort of insulation around the cook chamber to help with temperature maintenance (Michigan weather). I also plan on adding flanging to the cook chamber door in order to help with sealing.
The firebox divider is to allow control of where the fire is located to limit impact to the Bradley control unit. I will also insulate the barrel end in order to help with that as well. Firebrick will line the lower half of the hot portion of the firebox.
I am considering using either a propane burner or electric starter to ignite the firebox side.
I will likely revamp my PID setup to be used on the Bradley side of the box.
Going forward I would add a more refined temp probe setup that allows for plug and play during a smoking session.
