Hi, my name is Bill, I am retired and from Austin, TX. I received a Masterbuilt electric smoker, 30 inch with the glass door, as an early Christmas gift. I also have a older Brinkman Gourmet Electric Smoker that I used occasionally to smoke chicken and occasionally ribs. I have not used the MES yet but just finished seasoning it and will start playing with it this week. I have joined the MES forum, signed up for the newsletter and the 5 day e-course and have purchased Jeff Philip's book "Smoking Meat". I want to try smoking other meats (pork butt, brisket, turkey among others) and plan on reading tips posted here from other users.
