My name is Gary and I live Northwest of Detroit.
I have been smoking for about 7 years and grilling for over 40 years.
Have primarily been using a Traeger pellet, Weber Platinum Gas Grill, Weber 22" with Smokenator.
Just bought a Smokin -It #3 electric all stainless cabinet smoker to be able to cold smoke sausage, cheese, and fish. Getting used to using it as it differs a lot from the Traeger pellet in that it uses virtually no wood for smoking due to very little air circulation. Went way too heavy on wood the first time I made ribs....today doing ribs again with really good peach and a little hickory. Really holds temp with Auber PID...great unit.
Traeger still works fine, but may get a stick smoker or new pellet in the near future as well.
As I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin -Madison, but live in Michigan, you can call me MichBadger!
