My name is MIke, II have a Masterbuilt electric smoker, just bought it and learning. My buddy told me about this forum and I hope to learn a lot.....
 
Hey Mike..glad you found your way over here. Never owned one of the fine pits you mention but cant do without my Electrifed Brinkmann. Holler if you need any moral support etc. What are we planning to cook first?
 
Hi Mike, welcome to SMF. I'm glad to see someone else from the Central Valley. I'm in Fresno. I just completed rebuilding a refer into an elect smoker. It was fun. I'm smoking my second batch now. It's a pork shoulder butt and some ribs.
Ribs should be done in bout three hours have until tomorrow morning on the shoulder. I want to give a big thanks to one of SMF member, Billbo, I'm using both his dry rub and sauce recipes on them. We can learn as we go. Lots of good advice and help here.
