Hi all, Calum here from London, England. I'm a total newbie to smoking, and in my search for advice and tips on my potential new hobby.

I've had a little browse of the site, I think it's fantastic and some of the produce you guys are churning out is really inspiring. Aside from the traditional smoked fish that we consume alot of in the UK, there has been a recent wave of bbq smoke houses popping up here, serving some really fantastic stuff which has got me interested in creating quality, exciting & tasty food at home without the expense of eating out. My dream would be to serve organic, home smoked meat on a small market stall, starting small and dreaming big.

I'm planning on asking plenty of questions before I dive in and purchase my first smoker, any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'll pick up lots in my time here, I can't wait to get started!

Cheers!

welcome CalumFloyd, and glad to have another Brittish Blood Brother on here... my Father was a Howard over there somewhere, but that was long ago..

Your problem of a Smoker is easy, look at building a UDS:http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/search.php?search=UDS+builds

You can get out for around $50. U.S., and they are excellent for Smoking while using little fuel.
