Just wanted to say hi. Really liked the info here and thought I should stick around and try to give back. I have been smoking old school for about 10 years on a block pit. We cook for between 30 to 60 friends once a month it's a labor of love for us. Family got me a OJ highland for father's day because they wanted BBQ more than once a month and I had been saying that I wanted something to do smaller runs on that wasn't so labor intensive. Well I've done my mods to it seasoned it and now smoking some dry rub baby backs well see how this goes so far I can't complain about how it runs but the proof will be in the meat. Happy father's day to all the dads out there.

Goatzuk, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here and bringing the expertise with you.  Looking forward to your inaugural smoke on the new OJ Highland.

Keep us posted!

Well let the learning curve begin. Ribs were way and I mean way over smoked. Going to get me some more temp gages belive the one in it ran cool need something to compare it to. Tuning plates may need to be adjusted to improve the flow.
