Hello fellow Smokers.

I am a newbie to smoking meat , but I look forward to learning the sport. Eastern NC is know for it's pork. I want to learn the art of beef BBQ. My first smoker is a Master Forge Vertical Propane purchased from the local Lowe's.

I followed some advice from others online and purchased a 3/8 in rope gasket. Once installed it worked very well on the seasoning run I did on her yesterday. I plan to smoke a Pork shoulder tomorrow on it's maiden voyage. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks all.

Chris

Hey man, I've just joined the forum as well. I've been smoking for a little while but still have lots to learn. If you don't mind me asking what part of NC are you from, I just recently moved to Charlotte.
