Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My Name is Jeremy i'm from VA about 30 minutes outside of Richmond. I am completely green to smoking but have been reading alot here lately and looking foreward to making my first try at it later today. Currently I have a Brinkmann split door smoker that was purchased used in great condition, it's been seasoned and I will be trying some chicken leg quarters on it today. I look forewardto interacting on this sight and learning more about this new hobby of mine.

THanks everyone for the welcome! I completed my first smoke today with some chicken leg quarters rubbed with grillmates garlic and herb seasoning. My Brinkmann split door worked wonderfully using kingsford charcoal in a grill wok basket. In 2.5 hours my leg quarters were up to temperature and smelled wonderful. I, my wife, and mother enjoyed them very much. I am already thinking of what I want to smoke next...I think a boston butt may be instore!
