Happy birthday XRAY.Say hello to CT and MRI.

On the more serious side there's no doubt that discovery literally has saved millions.

Hello CT and MRI!

On this day in 1895, xrays were discovered by Wilhelm Roentgen. They really drilled this when I was in xray school. Now it's the official start of Rad Tech week where they bring you cold pizza in appreciation for all that you do.

Are you in the field Norman?

So you guys are on the medical side?

I cut my teeth in industrial radiography in the mid 1970's, mostly pipeline inspection. We did have some 225KV x-ray tubes but mostly used the isotopes Iridium-192 and Cobalt-60. My company had some ties to the AEC, but NRC took over in '74 or '75.

I don’t even know what you guys are talking about.
But Happy birthday xray!!
I hope you have a fantastic birthday!!

It was working around radiation that helped me get away from using that pesky charcoal. :emoji_laughing:

I am not in the field but I've spent enough time in hospitals.

Yes I am on the medical side as an xray technologist RT(R). Sometimes I wish I was on the industrial side though.

Thanks Al but sadly it isn’t my birthday. That was my first thought when I saw the post but realized I’m not 126 years old, lol.

Norman posted because xrays were founded on that day 126 years ago.
