Hanukkah Dinner

second night Hanukkah, so I thought what’s more a perfect combination to honor the holiday than potato latkes and grilled rib eye? I mean really!

I use to Love Rib-eye!
I could grill me some rib-eye and boiled taters several times a week. And of course slather on the butter.

But some of that jucey stuff decided to make a home in my coronary arteries. So after a 100% blockage in my RCA (the Widow maker), the doctor made me change my ways. No more red meat.
Well, in extreme moderation.
But I can drool!

Key element is oil as it commemorates the miracle of the of oil in the temple menorah lasting eight days. So fried food are the key in Hanukkah foods in jewish communities around the world, Eastern Europeans, potato latkes; Italy, fried chicken; israel, doughnuts; mid-east jews, fried fritters and on and on.
