Good night to grill. Didn't take a sunset picture. It would've been a great shot. Sorry about that.

A recent post here on SMF highlighted a site where a young autistic man was trying to make his business of bbq rubs and mixes grow. These parents are good folks trying to build a future for their autistic son so he can be as independent as possible. I like a feel-good story. Ordered the gift pack. Recently received it in the mail. $40 well spent.

Tonight we put the mixes to work. Seasoned up a hanger steak with the steak mix and seasoned up some lightly oiled asparagus with the pork mix.

Off the grill for a rest.

Added a microwave potato. Plated.....

My wife said the steak and asparagus were really flavorful without being overpowering. I agree. I also like the fact the mixes were not at all salty. So many commercial mixes and rubs are half salt. Not these. Flavorful, not salty. Good stuff.....

'nuff said. Good dinner........

Excellent. Wish I could source a hanger locally.

Looks great, I love hangers and wish we had them around more often.

The rubs are very close to my own, so it'd be right up my alley! I'll have to pick some up to try. They'd be perfect gifts for friends that keep asking me to make them rubs too!

Max is now a member here!

I put this link on their website contact this morning and Max's mother, Pam, responded that she visited the site. She didn't mention Max had joined. Great news.
