Had two eyes done since Oct. I too was nervous but the technology is to the point that soon an Intern will be doing them and the Dr'so have done so many that, you are done in 10 minutes or less. You will be fine. Follow the Eye Drop regime exactly for a quick recovery...JJ

Hey gang thanks for all the thoughts and support. It's amazing how tech has changed over the years.

Scheduled to arrive at 8:30 began prep about and hour surgery 9:30 was 1/2 hr walked out of surgery center 10:15.
Back this morning to remove bandage. Every thing is fine. And as JJ said a long schudle of eye drops.

They also inserted a permanent corrective lens.

But again thanks guys for all comments thought and support.

Good to hear. You are going to love the corrective lense. I wore glasses for distance over 40 years, now I only use Dollar Store cheaters to read with. My wife laughed every time I would go through the motion of taking off my old glasses for the drops or going to bed. 40 years is a hard habit to break...JJ

Hey Warren, good to hear everything went well, and I hope no complications arise.

what type of insert did you get?
I hear the US offers a few different ones.

my surgery is still a long ways off... but by then they will have perfected "progressive multifocal" so I'll never need to wear glasses again!

Warren glad to hear it went well, but now I worry you won't say all them nice things about my cooks LOL

They used a AlconSof IQ The multifocal was $2500 and SS won't pay for that one. But the nurse said that a lot of people were not happy with that one because it reflex's glare. So as you said I'm sure as with most everything they will improve it.
So far I'm happy and if I still need glasses so be it I've wore them since I was 18.
