I don't do the stuff that really stresses it, but for general work, mine has worked well for me.  Even with the nylon gears.

Seems to be a generic China product that many people slap their names on.

Better price than I paid for mine, too.

This should be fine for him. Prob make more fresh sausage with the larger tubes. I went thru many plastic gears
