Hey all...
So, looking for ideas for dinner I went over to Albertson's Market and perused the meat section...I thought I was gonna use some slice tri-tip that they had. Found an almost 3lb flank steak "reduced for quick sale" (it was 1/2 off and still looked healthy) I immediately grabbed it and promptly headed to produce. Grabbed an avocado, a tomato and some lime juice (had the rest).
Made a quick chili/lime marinade, tenderized the heck out of her (I injected some too as it was at 4:15pm) and placed in fridge and let it marinade. Placed it on the grill at about 5:40pm. Set it at low heat and let it cook till IT was 140*...raised temp to "high" for about 5 minutes each side to caramelize it a bid. Pulled it off, wrapped in foil and let it sit about 10min. Wife was now home and hungry...
Here's the Marinade (Simple recipe: Lime Juice, EVOO, Apple Vinegar, beef base, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, molasses and a little Lawry's)

Here's some EVOO rubbed onion I threw on the grill along with the FS.
It was very tasty and it wasn't smoked...
