Hi all....Lynn (a guy) from the Co mtns, SW of Den at 7500'.

I have a Sam's club Members Mark grill and the same brand Smoker, both propane.

Am seriously considering adding the AMPS pellet smoker as the regular smoker has the smoker chip boxes too close to the fire and the chips burn rather than smoke even when soaked overnight.

Been cooking and grilling for years.

Welcome to SMF Lynn! Though you have been grilling for years, you will be surprised at what you can learn here. Happy smoking!

Mike

Thanks...I've already learned the trick of smoking for awhile, then wrapping in foil with some liquid to  make them extra falling off the bone tender.

And FYI...Tony Roma's removes the backstrap from their baby backs as my son worked there one summer and that was one of his jobs.   I don't know about other rib/BBQ places.  Some where i've had ribs most definately do NOT.

Welcome Lynn.......
