Just wanted to say hello to everyone... look forward to being a part of the forum.
Been grilling for over 25 years, smoking just over 15. Learned most from my pops, and a bunch from reading various books. And sad to say, never thought about joining a forum for grilling/smoking until just this week.
Grew up in a military family, pops is from GA, mum is an Aussie. I was born in Germany, but moved my entire life... even into adulthood. Hell, Ive been in Cali for 8 years and have lived in 4 different cities. SMH
I came across the forum seeking information on my latest purchase: OKJ Longhorn Reverse Flow. Its weird, there is NOT that much info on this model. Tons on the regular Longhorn and Highland, but very little on the factory Longhorn Reverse Flow.
Well, I seasoned it Saturday, cooked on it Sunday last weekend. Turned out well... But not my best. Going to have to learn her a little better. She came with a massive basket and I tried a long cook (12+ hours) using my new toy (ATC - Fireboard w Fan).
Hoping to pick some brains and share some of my experiences past and present.
