Grease Drain Questions

Hey everyone,

Just a few quick questions if you will. I have a 1/4 BP which I'm about to split down the middle to accommodate some steel angle. Just a few things I was keen to find out were:

1. Should the angle also be 1/4" same as the BP or is it ok to go thinner on this?

2. I will obviously cap off the FB end of the angle but this will hang down into the opening of the FB to the CC. Do you guys think this will have any noticeable impact on airflow? Does anyone have any pics of theirs taken from inside the FB looking down under the BP?

I welded the 2" x 1/4" angle to the top back of the fire box. This worked just fine in my configuration.

I notched the angle for 2" pipe for draining purposes. I used 1" angle for the opposite end for support. I then welded in the 1/4" baffle plate

in four pieces. I sloped the baffle towards the angle slightly to help with draining........... however this didn't quite work. I connected the tank / firebox to the frame perfectly level, I mounted the tank / firebox as far to the left as I could to make room at the back for a wood bin.

 Most the weight sits on the one leaf and the baffle plate now is slightly sloped to the left.

Hey BIGEEE,

That was just the visuals I needed. I think I will borrow your configuration of the angle attached the the FB as this will suit my set up perfectly.
