Hello everyone my name is steve im 26. Im originally from California were i originally learned how to BBQ at age 16. As time went on I progressively started BBQ more and more. I moved out to texas just recently and im not going back to California and dont plan to...At one point i was cooking for people for partys and what not. One of my good friends had a smoker and i used to go over and he would have some Boston butt or brisket smoked and id eat some or take some home but never really got around to buying my own smoker. Well yesterday i picked myself up a masterbuilt smoker and cant wait to use it!!!!!

Yesterday i got a Boston butt ready its been sittin in the fridge....its a 11 pound butt seasoned and ready to rock. Ive been reading online that this model has a problem with chips catching on fire in the trey so im gonna go get my self a iron skillet to put on top of it so it doesnt catch the chips. i also have a bag of chunks i wanna use i hear nothing but good things about chunks. Well feels good to be apart of this hopefully i can take something from this forum to further my smoker experience to make the best BBQ i can . Hopefully i can give something back to this forum or take something from my experience's
