I don't post much but I'm on here everyday sneaking around. I'm pretty excited and wanted to share. Already got her seasoned up

and ready to go. Now just got to figure out what I want to smoke first for a long one! I upgraded from a ok Joe 3 burner to this!!!

Soon as I get home going to be throwing on some chicken thighs for dinner something simple, but cant wait to fire it up!

No I didn't get the new deflection plate yet. going to wait and see if it would be worth the $200, but I did get the grill plate and grill cover.

I do have a question on the hoper side of the cook chamber there is a rubber plug on and on the inside there's a little door that swings away which reveals a 1/2 hole. any idea what it is?

Thats the temperature probe port. It replaced the one they use to put on the right side. two pieces of advice. One, put a piece of aluminum foil on top of the heat defection plate, it will make clean up MUCH easier and two, vacuum out the fire pit before you start every cook, this will save you much heartache.

Good luck and happy smoking with that new toy wishing you many happy meals.

Almost forgot, when you put the aluminum foil down, make sure it does not extend over the sides blocking the gap between the plate and the walls. that will disrupt the air flow and play havoc with your temps. I use hi temp magnets to keep it in place. here is a LINK  for the ones I used.

That's awesome.... I just ordered mine this morning as well.... I can't wait until spring....

I just ordered one from a local dealer about an hour ago...he's going to deliver it the beginning of next week...
