Hi there.... new member here. I am the "proud" owner of a Weber Kettle 22 and have used it twice now to smoke ribs (last week) and a pork shoulder (yesterday).

A few years ago I bought a Brinkmann Electric Smoker and was not very happy with it as it wouldn't stay on temperature in cold (South Carolina!) windy conditions.

I have spent (too) many hours watching videos on smoking on the Weber kettle and before buying a dedicated smoker, I first want to see what I can do with the kettle. I will post my experience elsewhere on this forum and would love to read the stories and see the results (also the failures) from others.

Welcome to SMF!
Plenty of guys using a kettle to smoke, just look at some of the BBQ Pit Boys videos on You Tube.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a muggy wet day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
