Growing up the fam would raise, process, and sell about 35 to 40 turkeys to friends every year. My B-inlaw raised them commercially (thousands!) for a spell and these were some seriously big wing drums!

Ps my job during the house processing was to plug in the juice (the hatchet is no good, it makes a mess!), drain, dunk, and pluck......there is nothing like a true fresh TBird!

By the way, I personally believe vise grips were invented specifically to pull out turkey wing feathers....it’s just a bonus that they have so many other purposes.
