lol agreed. they would be hauling my ass to jail before i give up my BBQ... also the only complaint i get from my neighbors is my smoke makes them hungry....

Stuff like this exists all the time in condo situations.  Its difficult if you end up with a neighbor that hates life.

I couldnt live in a place like that... i guess i enjoy living in the Great Smokey Mountains a little too much....

All my neighbors are smokers. Guy to the north of me has a Treager, as do the guys across the street. Guy to the south of me has a Weber BBQ and a Little Chief smoker, guy next to him has a big chief smoker. Guy behind me has a Weber BBQ.

They'd have to arrest the whole neighborhood!

Dang with that many people smoking you could do your own neighborhood smoke-fests

I might would have to boil me up several big pots of chitlins outside when the wind was right.Or maybe a pet skunk, rotten eggs, etc

I agree that it's pretty awful but, the guy apparently has a commercial smoker in his yard and there have been multiple complaints from multiple neighbors going back a couple years. I kinda suspect there is more to the story here. Maybe he's running the thing 24/7 and selling the product? I sure don't mind the smell of BBQ, but if it was constantly bathing my yard in the hot and humid Florida summer it might get a little old.

Can't say I agree, I'd have to confront my neighbor...... but I don't have neighbors !

Well this would be different.  Running a business out of his backyard would be a whole different story.

Guess next time I smoke a butt, I'd better throw on two and share one with the neighbors!

In the words of the late John Denver....Thank God I'm Country Boy!

Where I live, the only person who gets to tell me when to smoke and when not to smoke is Mrs. Red.

Red

No laws or ordinances in NC that I know of unless you live in a HOA community........

If that city in Florida has an ordinance that smoke or grilling smell cant leave your property that's just plain stupid. The ordinance should be reasonable and fair for both parties.

My 2 cents
