Here is an interesting controller for gas grills that I learned about in an email today from the BBQPIT - The Grill and BBQ Magazine Grillblog & Grill recipe in Germany. Instead of just providing a narrative and the link to the web page, which requires translating from German to English, I've copied and translated the article as a PDF attachment. The controller is currently for the Weber, Broil King and Napoleon grills.
I've posted the starter kit contents/specs to give you an idea of the device. The article goes into more detail on the testing & use. I have emailed the author if this will work with various non-EU grills here in the US. I'll post when I receive it.
EDIT: The original manufacturer web page, grillcontrol.de, shows voltage adapters from the German two prong to the US two flats and the application is written in both English and German. With that said, it should be usable here and in non-EU countries.
