It it's a waste. Unfortunately, if someone got sick and it was even remotely tied to the products the lawsuits would far outweigh the PR/ tax benefit of making those donations.I have a friend who is a QC person at Kraft, he says they take pallets of ketchup, mustard, mayo and other food to the landfill and run them over with the dozer to destroy the product. What a waste when this could be donated to homeless, food banks or low income families.
The Mrs. refuses to put ketchup in the fridge. It resides in the pantry. We've been together for 12 years and no ill effects.
Ketchup will NEVER get bad due to all the vinegar in it, that's why restaurants all leave it sitting on the tables.....Agreed, that its a waste!
