Hey everyone,

I'm a new member to the forums from just outside Toronto, Ontario. I've been reading Jeff's book, signed up for his newsletter and his 5 day course and figured that the last step would be join the forums, so here I am.

I've been cooking with charcoal and wood since 2009 when I bought my Weber grill. I which then bought some toys for it like the charcoal baskets and a new grate (the one that has the sides lift up to allow charcoal to be dropped in). It was a lot more fun than propane to cook on that's for sure! Last spring I bought a Master forge bullet smoker which has been not my best experience with cooking as it either burns too hot or too cool, but it hasn't left a bad taste in my mouth. I think my brother and I are going to buy another smoker, probably a horizontal one with an offset firebox. So I have some research to do, but I look forward to it.

I normally don't post on forums, but I'm hoping to put an end to that. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and have a good weekend.

My best Infamous.

Welcome! Your grass looks awfully green for this time of year. I'm just a short swim across the lake in Rochester NY.

Welcome to a fellow Canadian. However, I am a little doubtful about calling Whitby the Great White North. I live on a mountainside in the BC rockies. Come on out and we'll show you white!

I have only been on this forum for a few months but I have got a great deal of good advice and so much inspiration for different projects, I will be smoking for years without trying them all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
