A big shout out to all. I have the double door Master Forge smoker that I picked up last year and am wondering about painting it. A few weeks ago I noticed a bit if rust around the bottom where the burner is so I thought I would take it all apart and use a wire brush attachment on my drill to clean it all up and repaint. I also had a good coating of creosote on the inside of the lower door and also in the upper chamber. I used a torch and a scraper to get what I could off, I think I'll go a few more rounds with it before I say it's done. Anyhow, I am wondering if it is cool to use that high temperature BBQ paint on the rust and now bare metal areas on the INSIDE of the smoker? I have seen people refinish their char griller pits like this but never on the inside and am very curious/cautious about doing it to mine. Can anyone help me out here, I reall want to get this thing back together soon so I can smoke some fattys. Thanks
