Question I have is, is it OK to freeze smoked ham hocks. Up here in WNY, it's getting harder and harder to fine anyone that carries them and those that do, now just do so in the colder weather. I'm thinking of loading up and just freeze them when I can get them. Thanks in advance and enjoy your weekend. Be safe.

Several years ago I found fresh unsmoked hocks in a local grocery .
Bought a few packs , cured , smoked and froze them . Last pack i used last winter had probably been frozen 2 years , maybe more . Just fine in a pot of beans .
Just make sure you vac seal them good .

I did the same. Our local store (Smith's) carries them so stocked up.
Vacuum sealed and frozen.

Good vac seal and you are good. Way better to freeze store cured meat than fresh meat for extended time.
