Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with having a food booth/truck/catering business. I just had my first event last weekend selling some bbq food and it went very well. The one thing that I wonder though is if there is any companies that would sell wholesale foods to a home business. I just checked with Sysco and they only sell to businesses that have restaurant addresses (or something like that). And I would assume that most other national chains are the same. I am from Minnesota. Just figure that if I end up doing several events next year (thats the plan for right now) that I dont want to pay Sam's Club prices.

Thanks for your help!

I was going to say, that's were a lot of small operators buy their bulk goods, either Sam's or Costco

While some of the larger vendors may require a business address, most only require a business license and federal ID. That said, Sam's, Costco, and in our area Gordon's Food service all come to mind.
