Saw the post on facebook from this site, just HAD to try one. Brined, rubbed, & smoked!

Had the room, figured why not make some pastrami.....

Looks like a happy smoker. Cant wait to see the results.
 
Everything came out so good! The turkey was so tender and juicy.

As for the pastrami, I toasted up the pouch of spices that came in the corned beef packet, then ground them in the spice grinder. Added a bit more and a lot of pepper. Turkey took about 5 1/2 hours, pastrami was close to 8.  Some thousand island dressing, sauerkraut, swiss cheese - Yum!
 
They sure did look good and the recipe for the pastrami sounds good too.
 
there are some Q views that the minute i look at them, i know for certain i gotta do that.

this was one of those!   now i can't wait to do a turkey breast!

and i agree, that sounds like a good pastrami recipe, too!
